Wilderness Walk Zoo runs summer zoo day camps for children ages 5–12 at its 35-acre park south of Hayward. Each day focuses on a different group of animals, with wildlife education, games, a craft, zoo tours, and building animal enrichment; options include a four-day Wild Wisconsin camp (Mon–Thu) and single-day themed camps. Camps run 10:00am–3:00pm.

★★★★★AshWe came here on a whim after staying for a week in a town nearby. What a hidden gem this place is! With 2 young children, this place kept them entertained for hours. The animals look well taken care of, and we really appreciated the immersive set up of the whole park. Our favorite part was getting to walk through the open area where dozens of whitetail deer still enjoy their natural habitat but you can be apart of their world. There is a restaurant area as well as fun little mining area where kids can dig for gold. If they find gold, they can bring it to the attendance at the food stand for a sucker. How fun! We really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back if in the area again!
