Camp Adventure is an eight-week summer day camp for K3 through 8th graders on the wooded Bluff Park campus of Shades Mountain Community Church, which has run it for about 30 years. The day runs 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and opens with a high-energy rally of game shows, songs and competitions. It is an explicitly Christian ministry — staff describe their role as spiritual shepherds — and it draws more than 1,500 children each summer.
