Budd Lake

Small lake. The beach at the state park is fun. It was packed on the Friday afternoon we went. There is a fee to enter or if you have the state park pass you can get in with that. There is camping at the park, a huge playground with swings including a baby swing and lots of covered pavilions for picnics. The water was a nice temperature in late July. The beach is kind of small. It has a lot of shaded spots in the late afternoon. You have to go down to get to the beach but it's all wheelchair/stroller/wagon accessible. There was plenty of parking the day we went.

This was my first time visiting Bud Lake. The lake is beautiful and the beach was very nice. I gave 3 stars because of the teens that were there jumping from the swim poles, cursing in front of small children, fighting with each other, and smoking weed in front of small children. This is at a state park and I expect the workers to keep people like this in check or out of the park. I'd go back but more patrolling needs to be done.
