Brooklyn Skyhawks is a nonprofit youth tackle football and cheer program run by Skyhawk Youth Sports Corp., founded in 1977, now in its 48th season and a charter member of the New York City Youth Football Conference, with a home field at the Prospect Park Parade Grounds. It carries roughly 130 players aged 7-14 across several divisions; registration opens in late April by paper form at the field, summer is pre-season practice, and games run in the fall. The registration fee covers loaner shoulder and leg pads and game uniforms, while families buy helmet, cleats and practice pants; game playing time is based on pre-season performance, though the club retains any player willing to work.

Powered by GoogleThey are well ran organization. One of the best teams in the league every year. I realize the competition is weak, most teams never have enough players or coaches. The program is one of oldest organizations in the city. Training camp start in April and season start in September. Every year my son got better and more confident in his abilities. NYCYFL

I played here for 4 years. I’ve only gotten stronger and more disciplined. The coaches are supportive and they help you with school. It’s a perfect space for African-American, Hispanic, and other people to communicate and learn life lessons. Commitment to Excellence.
