Gym is great place to work out. Plenty of equipment. The tread mills are placed a little too close together for my liking and the gym machines are also very tight. Still, I usually am able able to get in and out quickly. Great staff. Macines are constantly being wiped down which is important to me. However, the parking lot issues need serious attention. Cars park wherever they want when it's crowded. The other day I could barely make the turn a top of lot to get out because and inconsiderate member parked vehicle where there was NOT A DESIGNATED SPOT, blocking the area to make a turn and I barely could get thru. And the staff allows cars to be parked IN FRONT of other parked cars which creates a more congested, unsafe area. The lot should be monitored or appropriate signs.posted so inconsiderate members don't park their vehicles in inappropriate spots. The other day a woman was just sitting in her car in the way of cars exiting and didn't give a crap how annoying that is for other members. A car was coming in, I was going out and could not get by, and she wouldnt move. These entitled members feel they should disrupt the coming and going of other members on a regular basis. It is not acceptable something needs to be done! I also saw vehicles parking horizontally on the far right spots in the back, instead of pulling in straight so more cars can park in the designated spots. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE. IT IS GETTING WORSE EVERYDAY!! The lot needs to be monitored and members need to be held accountable. You can see the lot, their plates etc on video. This disrespectful behavior needs to be addressed and a resolution is sorely needed. This situation is making the Y a less desirable place to work out.

They had such a great instructor named Robert and decided to relocate him. What type of a company takes out their only POC instructor that was the best and only instructor my family was comfortable with so they transfer him to another ymca to meet their black quota.

This post is about the pool openings. The pool is most of the time opens late due to the late arrivals of a life guard. Sometime the delay could be more than half an hour. 10 mins late is persistent. This situation shows a very poor pool management and should be dealt with seriously as YMCA is a business not an entertainment. Update: after the above posting, a month passed and no change. Some days the delays got worse. Swimmers had to wait at the pool door half naked for too long and left finally. I guess they either did not get the message or they do not care about this. The winter is coming, waiting in a chilly room will be a very hard thing. 11/11/25: the pool was delayed for 30 mins. swimmers half naked waited in a heatless room in a day when the temperature was below 30F today. Interested to see when this situation will be corrected to meet the basic standards.

Along with excellent, friendly and engaged staff, the Broadway Y offers numerous programs for everyone in any age group. The workout equipment includes treadmills, resistance machines, and bikes. Programs are offered for everyone of every age. Staff couldn't be more helpful and supportive. No matter what shape you're in, you will welcomed and offered any and all the support you need to succeed.

Clean environment. Staff is kind and polite. Locker room areas are basic. We purchased a family pass two months back with the hopes of getting some time in the gymnasium for basketball with our 4 and 7 year old. Both gymnasiums are always full with senior pickleball players. When their is free gym, it's usually half a court and regardless it's always swarmed with teens and young men in their early twenties. Pool is nice but again family swim time on the weekend is related to 1 -1/2 hour windows. I joined to help get my family and kids exercise. When the courts were full I asked the staff if their was at least a room with desk where my kids can sit and color or do anything while we swap watching them and at least we get exercise and they didn't even have that. If you have a family with older kids or are single, this is definitely a good option. If you have a family with young kiddos skip on the family pass. Unfortunately theirs nothing for them to do.
