The Brainerd Family YMCA runs a nature-based summer day camp at YMCA Camp Vanasek near Brainerd for children entering kindergarten through 8th grade. Days are spent building skills, independence and friendships outdoors, with morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack provided. Campers entering 6th-8th grade can join as counselors-in-training, and financial assistance and scholarships are available.
