The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County run full-day summer camps out of their clubhouses in Jersey City and Hoboken, June 22 through August 14. Programming is split by age: Rising STARS for kindergarten through 3rd grade builds literacy, science and technology skills, self-worth and healthy living; a Youth/Middle School camp for grades 4-8 focuses on academic and social skills through daily educational activities and field trips; and a Teen Camp serves teens entering 9th-12th grade. Camp runs Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with early drop-off from 7:30am and late pickup to 6pm, and a healthy breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack plus field trips are included at no extra cost.

Powered by GoogleWhy don’t they ever answer their phone or respond to emails. I was f looking really hard for summer camp for my 4th grader. I sent emails and called SEVERAL times for days in a row. Just take your contact info off the website.
This is the worst childcare I have ever sent my child to. The first time my child was hurt with a huge bump on his forehead. I was not notified when it happened or when he was picked up. The incident was only brought up until I said something. There’s no lunch menu that goes out. There’s no calendar for August about any Field trips. The only thing they did outside of the club was science center, bowling alley, and splash pad. Over an 8 week period. It’s basically kids watching kids. To top it all off I picked my child up with a 103 fever him running crying towards me the staff unaware of him being sick when it was clear as day. This place will just neglect your child and cause trauma. Beware.
We've had our child with their after school program this year and have been incredibly happy with the service and flexibility they have provided. Especially as a low-cost provider, they sure seem to go above and beyond far more than even some super expensive private operations we've seen. This has been especially clutch as the public school system and its after school operation in particular has been very fragile this year. But whenever they close the schools down early for no good reason, BGC is there to save the day! I'm beyond grateful for everything they do.
I had an horrible experience with this summer program. The lack of compassion and attentiveness towards my four year old child was disgusting. My child would come home everyday saying she’s thirsty and hungry. She was placed on the wrong bus before without my knowledge. I contacted the staff regarding all issues and I was basically ignored and pushed to the side. I’m disappointed with this location and I wouldn’t bring my child back or recommend this center to anyone.
Great place for children to get off the streets. They offer cooking , karate, basketball, and other arts and Crafts. My granddaughters never want to go home . They are open when the children are out of school on Holidays. Offer meals and snacks and take the children on field trips. Around Christmas time, they give the children gifts and treat them to a shopping spree at Walmart. The staff are very good to the children and have their best interest at heart at all times .
