Hi, This review is long overdue! My daughter has been attending the Teen Center at Palm Springs for more than a year. It has been such an incredible experience for both my daughter and myself, as a parent. I can't say enough about the wonderful team that goes above and beyond! My daughter, who is a special needs student, learns something new everyday!! Eddie Gallardo has helped and encouraged my daughter with so much kindness and patience! Yafet Garcia has been a wonderful mentor, a positive force in helping my daughter to participate and learn new athletic skills from gym work outs to picket ball, pool table and basketball! This has given her not only confidence, but has improved her fitness overall!! Alyssa Goodman and Alexis Goodman have been consistent positive mentors with so much patience! They are so helpful, generous, kind and supportive! Their dedication for creating such a safe space (that I feel as if my daughter is at home when at the teen center,) is deeply appreciated! I just can't say enough words to express my gratitude to the whole team for their support!

I home school both my kids. The boys and girls club has been a wonderful solution to the lack of social activities they've had. They not only made a lot of good friends but the experience they've had . The staff is amazing and they've been such a blessing to the family , helping us even outside club. They are there all year round too . I always recommend this place to others not only for that reason but its affordable . My kids are also of different age groups and its sometimes hard to find activities for older kids . Boys and girls is open from elementary to high school. Its great to have so close .

Not at all special needs friendly. They just yell at the kids non stop. Making children with sensory sensitivities very uncomfortable. Their website says that they can make reasonable accommodations for children with special needs since they are a publicly funded program program. But when asked to accommodate any special needs such as even putting the beanbag chairs out that they have or allowing spaces for children to unwind after a long school day they will not they just say it’s not safe and someone’s going to run all over them. They would rather kick the children with special needs out of the program, then accommodate them. Every child, I know a special needs has been suspended and expelled from that program they would yell at my son just for laying down saying it was unsafe where other programs understand that he’s tired after school and give him a place to lay down. Do not send your children there if they have any kind of sensitivities. They are also charging for busing from the schools to the program while the PSUSD is busing the children there for free . what an unethical program

This is a great after school program. If you are a working mom and still need a couple more hours after school of supervision for your kids, this is perfect and very affordable and almost every elementary and middle school have a bus schedule to take them. There now is an app you download to communicate faster in emergencies. They provide snacks if needed and everyday is different whether it's an art class, gym class, or a field trip or they can choose to have free time and they provide an hour for homework.
