Black Hills Gymnastics in Lacey runs about 10 weeks of themed summer camp, each week mixing gymnastics on Olympic events for boys and girls with open play, games and craft projects built around that week's theme. Half-day camp serves ages 3 to 5 and full-day camp ages 6 to 12, and families can book a whole week or pick individual days; campers bring a lunch and water bottle and wear a tucked-in t-shirt with shorts or sweatpants (no jeans, buckles, snaps or zippers). Camps also run over Christmas and spring breaks, and the gym offers instructional and preschool gymnastics, Ninja Zone, competitive teams and an early learning academy.

Powered by GoogleWe had our kiddo in one of their intro to gymnastics camps last summer. One day he came home complaining of hurt ribs due to a fall. Next day we had to rush him to the emergency room due to a broken arm. Coooool cool cool
I had my daughter’s third birthday party here. I was upset at first because the space wasn’t what I expected or was shown when I did a walk through before. Since the party was all three year olds it didn’t make sense to be up the flight of stairs in an open space. But the two workers that were there that day heard our concerns and did everything they could to make the party perfect. They went above and beyond to make sure my kid had such a fun and special day!
2/1 Update: They increased prices. If you’re looking to have your kid do this for fun, even with the idea it could progress into competition, idk if the costs are worth it. Our kids have done gymnastics and Nina for over a year now and we decided to stop coming. Initially they had a really good time, being physically active, and learning to use their bodies in a new way. Our daughter was moved to level 2, which I thought was a bit premature, but we went with it. I wasn’t able to attend so my hubs was taking them. Our daughter started regressing and not wanting to go. We wondered if it was how she was being coached and if she needed to go back to level 1 but by the end of it she was just burnt out and feeling like a failure. The coaches and whoever oversees the gymnasts missed the cues she was putting out. I don’t know if it’s from lack of skill or lack of connection with each student but we weren’t able to get her back on track before gymnastics was something she dreaded. Our son has also been in ninja course for over an year and does the same thing each class, not reflecting the goals/ skills of each level. I don’t regret the experience for my kids but we’re not leaving feeling good about our experience. Our kids attend gymnastics and the ninja course here. Generally enjoyable, engaging, and teaches great mobility and strength. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the birthday packages. $385 for 1.5 hours, up to 15 kids. Bring your own food and your kid gets a birthday t shirt. Super expensive for what you get and our host was less than thrilled to be there. Didn’t acknowledge our daughter and forgot to give her a shirt. Barely smiled. Our daughter ultimately had a great time but for what it was I don’t think we’d do it again.
Scammy, greedy company. Can't sign up for a few months of toddler classes without paying an entire years worth of fees. When you try and cancel they wait until after the billing period, eventhough you cancelled 30 days before. They give you a makeup token for being sick but won't allow you to use it. Would recommend looking elsewhere for toddler classes. They are just out to get as much money from you as they can.
My daughter likes it but for the cost and how many kids attend Id expect it to be a bit cleaner. We’ve moved and been to many gyms all over the US but this one really smells like feet. Its bad. It’s so strong I often have to sit outside and wait.
