True story, when I was a student here, they were actively hostile and gatekeeping to keep a fat person off the treadmills. You see, they have the fitness center for student athletes to train in, and for touring families and donors to see. If a fat person is on the treadmill, with all their fatness, then it will somehow look bad, because the department believes that only a certain body shape can be healthy and attractive. So, they tell you to use the elevated track, where nobody can see you. Never mind if you're scared of heights and the runners buzz you regularly. IDK who Beverly Warren was or is, but her name and all that money went to fund a place of body-shaming and abuse.

A great all-around facility for working out, swimming, playing basketball, and many other recreational activities all year round.

Fully equipped gym and lap pool. They have a variety of machines available, but for some they have only 1 or 2, which makes it difficult to use them if you go at a crowded hour (which I guess happens in every gym). I love swimming after a good workout so it is convenient that they offer the lap pool as well. Facilities are very clean too.

Helping them repair flooring this week. They have been super accommodating and a pleasure to work for. Have alot of friends that are alumni and proud to get to be part of it. What a nice facility! Five stars all day!!!

I had no idea that the Kent Rec center hosted birthday parties. The party room was able to fit 15 to 20 people comfortably. The pool was nice and wame and had this small lazy river type of area that has a 6 person max. The kids just loved it. The restrooms were clean and did not have any trash on the floors and benches. In additional the hour of the party was really nice since the pool stays open until 7:30 that evening.
