Camp Ken-Jockety is a Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland day camp on a property in Galloway, where campers do outdoor cooking, flag ceremonies, camp songs, archery (for those who have completed 2nd grade) or slingshots, camp chores, hiking, wading in the creek and swimming in the camp's own pool staffed by American Red Cross-certified lifeguards. Each session is a Monday-to-Friday week: Monday check-in starts at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday-to-Friday drop-off is 8:45-9:00 a.m. and pick-up begins around 3:40 p.m.; families register online or by mailing a paper form with the camp fee to council headquarters. Teen leadership tracks - Leaders in Action and Program Aide - are open to girls who have completed grades 6 through 12. Camp is run by volunteers who have cleared a criminal background check, with a first aid and CPR-certified adult on site, and financial assistance is available through a tier-3 pricing option and a fee waiver form.
