Looked into a membership for my fiancée and me and walked away due to a lack of transparency. Pricing and terms weren’t clearly explained, and for the cost, the amenities didn’t compare to other gyms in the area like Equinox or Life Time. Disappointing, especially since we live so close.

I'd appreciate it if the website for BHC was kept up to date with what they expect for membership costs because what was on the website was misleading. I went to the website and saw "Join today, only $26!" while there was a "Non-Member Fee" area that said "$30 for 12 months." So I went over to do my spa circuit thinking this would be the case, only to be quoted $202/month by the person who met me at the door (a subsequent text message quoted $143/month.) On top of this, there was no option for a trial, day pass, or even an offer to tour the facility. That is significantly more than I care to pay for a supplemental gym membership (this wouldn't be my home gym), so I'm considering other options. The service wasn't rude, but I would've planned an entirely different option for my spa circuit had I known that this was the case (and hey, shame on me for assuming they'd offer a trial or a day pass instead of calling to confirm - Lesson learned.)

I truly wanted to love this gym. I signed up for a trial and quickly realized it wasn’t a good fit for my family or me. Between the lackluster facilities, outdated equipment, the children’s center, and multiple uncomfortable interactions with other members, continuing was a no. When I explained my decision, Sandra—who was very kind when I signed up—shifted to a much more predatory tone. She was dismissive and told me I was now locked into a two-year minimum contract. I also spoke to the owner, who was even more dismissive and ended the conversation by saying I’d “pay for it one way or another.” I did—to the tune of over $6,000 after attending the gym only four times. After reading several other reviews, this seems to be their tactic. Please proceed with extreme caution.

Hello, I’ve been a member at this club going on eight years and I love it. I come here almost every day very friendly staff professional, and clean establishment. The steam room could be more sanitized but other than that I love it here.

Probably Disappointed

Members for over a year, but the vile conditions in the men's locker room were enough to turn our entire family off after a while. We spoke to people about it a few times but they had pretty dismissive attitudes. For the last 6 months we came there, the soap dispensers and body was all had a rotten smell to them they would not acknowledge. The men's locker room was filled with gnats and debris all over the floor from being unkept. The lockers were all filthy and never cleaned. Some of the members are quite vile with the stuff they do in there - shave, trim nails, die their hair - which is compounded by the lack of reasonable cleaning. At best, they told us good help is hard to find. Then made us pay three more months of hiked membership dues before we could leave after our one-year forced contract was up.
