My daughter has been taking private swim lessons through the YMCA, and I want to start by saying that we absolutely love the instructors and the quality of the lessons. The instructors have been patient, knowledgeable, and wonderful with my child, which is why this experience has been so disappointing. The issue has been the lack of communication and scheduling coordination. Our private lessons were originally scheduled for one week but were moved to Wednesday due to circumstances on the YMCA’s end. We were understanding and adjusted our schedule accordingly. After completing two lessons, the pool was closed on Friday, leaving us with two remaining lessons. To ensure there would be no confusion, we specifically confirmed that we should attend the following Monday and Tuesday for the remaining lessons. However, when we arrived on Monday, we were told there was no lesson scheduled and were instructed to contact Samantha Ridge. Being turned away after rearranging our schedules and showing up with a child ready for her lesson was both embarrassing and frustrating. After reaching out, Samantha acknowledged that there had been a communication breakdown on the YMCA’s side and offered either a refund or the opportunity to reschedule the remaining two lessons. We chose to complete the two lessons, as that was our preference from the beginning. Unfortunately, as of today, I have not received any follow-up communication regarding the rescheduling. While I appreciate the instructors and Samantha’s acknowledgment of the issue, the overall experience has been disappointing due to repeated communication failures. Families invest both time and money into these lessons, and better internal coordination is needed to prevent situations like this from happening. I sincerely hope the YMCA improves its scheduling and communication processes because the swim instruction itself is excellent.

Our team played the 2026 Wounded Warrior Tournament. The restrooms were clean and stocked. Plenty of parking, including ADA spaces, and ADA compliant (I'm fairly certain, anyway) restrooms and pathways. The concession stand was VERY fast, friendly, and the food was tasty! The giant $2 cups of ice water were a great addition to our 98° day in the Texas sunshine! Lots of shade and soft grass for the feral sports siblings. Thanks for hosting the tourney! We hope to play there again.

Thank you Matt and Logan! I'm a member of Wellhub which grants my access to all YMCA, Lifetime, 24 Hours Fitness etc. I'm visiting Fort Worth and stopped by this site last evening. I asked if I can swim here to Matt and Logan at the reception. This YMCA might not have the direct way to verify my WellHub membership. After a while, they let me in warmly and friendly - trusting in me. They even passed a lock! If I live in this area, this YMCA will be my first choice just because of these two nice and kind gentlemen! Thank you!

This facility is not clean and they need to do something about it. The treadmills are full of dust so thick you can see dirt all under and around the machines it’s nasty.. the windows are not clean and you can see crickets in the light fixtures and ceiling tiles are stained. It’s so hot in there ! 1 star because the front desk guy was nice.
