Been waiting since last summer for any kind of resolution and all that’s been offered is to reinstate our membership. Was a member there for 3+ years and attended all times of day. Last summer, I signed my son up for swim lessons. We went to the first lesson and instructor did not arrive until 30 minutes after schedule time. After I took my son to the family locker room to change, three unsupervised teenagers came in the locker room with their phones out and camera lights on and cursing. When I addressed them, while my three-year-old son was naked, if they were recording, they said no. Then they turned the camera lights off, and the phones got put away and they went outside in the hallway continuing to curse. After my son finished getting dressed, I was walking him out of the locker room in the hallway, where the three teenagers were still unsupervised and proceeded to mock me in a sarcastic voice, asking me if I was recording. When I turned around and started walking towards them to address them again, they ran into the pool area, where I followed them, screamed for the managers to restrain them, told them what they had done, and asked for them to be kicked out. The manager tried to make the teens apologize, then proceeded to call their parents who had dropped them off at the YMCA and left them unattended. The manager confessed that they had been a repetitive issue and had had multiple complaints already about them, yet when I asked why they had not been kicked out yet he could not answer. The only callback I have received from YMCA was for them asking if I wanted to reinstate my membership. I asked again if the boys who had caused so many problems had been removed and they said no they would be returning after their two weeks suspension. I told them no, I felt that was just setting up for another retaliation from the same teenagers. And if you weren’t going to protect my child when we are paying for lessons and paying to be there, I’m done paying you money. The teenagers were under the age of required supervision. Looking back I wish I had the presence of mind to call police and lawyer and check the phones. I don’t know if it’s racism, just plain mismanagement, or both. I will not bring my family there ever again. Be warned!

Not a great experience for my 81 yr old father. I set him up hoping he could get some relief from being in the pool. The first time his home health care worker took him they said he couldn't get in unless he could go down the stairs so he had to come home which discouraged him. I spoke to the director who assured me again that they had brand new lift to use and the employee didn't know what they are talking about. So I finally got my dad to agree to go a week or 2 later. The teenage life guards showed me what I'd need to do to use the lift to get him in and out of the pool so I did. My dad just was not comfortable at all in the water. I had already paid $104 for the sign up and monthly fee. I called them to cancel on 8/31 and asked for the director and left a message on his voicemail. I called again on 9/1 which they were closed. Finally talked to staff on 9/2 telling them to cancel and that I had left a message but not heard back. They told me to cancel online and I did immediately. I called again to ensure I DID NOT get charged yet again. The gentleman told me he saw the cancellation request and would follow up on it and ensure it was done. Just saw my CC statement and I was charged on 9/8/25 for some strange reason which prompted me to look at my dads account and his acct is Still active despite my cancelling online. So to recap, $154 so far for one successful visit/ 1 failed visit and they will try to charge again on 10/1/25 I guess since he is still active in their system. I DEFINITELY would not recommend this place as its becoming an accounting nightmare and I certainly did not feel the supportive picture they painted for me prior to signing my elderly father up was what was received.

The Bell road YMCA fun center is absolutely amazing. They have the quaint little water park as well as the jungle gym type swing sets for all ages of children. I think the thing I like the most about it is that you can gradually use yourself into the water and you can pretty much stay at ankle can knee depth if you like and still walk around and have a good time. Lot of hot chicks out here too with their kids so it's a little bit of eye candy to go along with the pool action. Having said that, I'm actually here for a birthday party and it's really neat the children are having such a good time. There are several lifeguards on duty at each station. If you look at the pictures that I post you will be able to see the lifeguard at their station. It's a really good thing too because it allows the children to play and also very comforting for the parent to know that their children are being watched. They have a really nice water slide and all sorts of little contraptions here. You can have parties here and just come and play if you want.
