Bayview Recreation Center is one of the City of Norfolk sites running Norfolk Explorers, the city's summer day camp for ages 5-12 who have completed kindergarten. Campers take part in themed weeks, crafts, STEM and science activities, active play and sports, swimming, outdoor nature discovery, field trips and guest presenters. The camp runs late June through mid-August, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., with breakfast and lunch included in the fee. Registration is limited to Norfolk residents.

Homework was rarely even started. Only real convenience was that they pick them up from the school. However, if they didn't (being right next door) there would be a major problem. The staff was sometimes helpful. Though, I felt SOL when they weren't on time, open when advertised, or the person to accept payment wasn't in.
