Backyard Basecamp is a nonprofit, nature-based outdoor day camp in Baltimore focused on connecting city families, especially families of color, to local green spaces. Campers explore ecosystems and wildlife through guided nature study, field investigations, and hands-on projects; a Jr. Naturalists track (ages 11–13) goes deeper into environmental science, and a week-long woodworking camp teaches hand-tool skills. The camp day runs 9am–2pm with snacks and lunch provided, optional before/after care, and scholarships available.
