AYSO Chicago Lakefront (Region 418) runs open-enrollment five-day summer soccer camps at Foster Avenue on the Chicago lakefront for boys and girls in the 7U through 19U divisions, led by trainers from AYSO's Northwind Soccer Club. Camps run Monday through Friday with a choice of a half day, 9:00am to noon, or a full day, 9:00am to 3:00pm.

I love that there are consistent weekly practices and that the kids are with the same team for the fall and the spring seasons (only have to sign up once). Communications from the league leadership is also top notch. It's a bit more competitive (higher skilled) with more resources than other rec leagues but at the same time not more intense. Younger kids are still learning the game and play is friendly. I would definitely recommend AYSO if you're looking for a bit more organization and competition.
