AYF Camp Big Pines is an overnight camp on 11.5 acres of forestland in the Angeles National Forest near Wrightwood, run by the Armenian Youth Federation for Armenian youth ages 7 to 17. Alongside traditional camp activities — Wacky Olympics, quiz bowl, egg toss, steal the bacon and volleyball — the daily programme includes educationals on Armenian history, heritage and culture. The season runs eight sessions from mid-June through early August: five-day weeks for ages 7–12 at $575 and eight-day weeks for ages 8–17 at $775, with campers limited to one week each summer. The camp holds up to 150 campers and staff per week, is staffed entirely by volunteers, and publishes a financial assistance form.
