Austin Rowing Club runs Intro to Rowing summer camps out of the Waller Creek Boathouse in downtown Austin, in one-week blocks from June through August, Monday to Friday, 9am to noon. Separate camps serve rising 6th-8th graders and rising 9th-12th graders (7th and 8th graders admitted case by case), with an Advanced Skills camp for rising 7th graders and up who have completed a semester of the club's competitive or recreational programs. No prior rowing experience is needed, but campers must be comfortable swimmers; the high-school camp costs $300 and is designed to feed the year-round Juniors program. Scholarship applications are handled through the juniors program email.

ARC has the kindest staff, super friendly and very helpful to first time and experienced paddlers. They made us feel very safe and kept things fun. Definitely recommend doing the Bat tours with them!! They know their stuff!!!!!

Did the 2 hour sunset tour with Holden. Had 3 experienced people and one person who had never been kayaking before. The equipment was in good condition and this was an easy trip. The tour was a mixture of information about the Austin skyline and watching the bats. Holden did a great job engaging the group. Was glad it was a small group.

Do you love turtles? We saw baby turtles, turtles in the water, turtles on logs, and turtles on rocks. I have never seen so many turtles in the wild! 5/5 highly recommended for turtle lovers of all ages. The service, equipment, and location were also excellent.

Bo was a fantastic tour guide. We had fun kayaking on the river and learning some history of Austin. We also learned many fun facts about the bats. When the bats came out from under the bridge, it was exhilarating. We would recommend this tour over and over and over again.
