Atlantic Dance Theatre is a New Bern nonprofit founded in 1985 that promotes dance across Craven and surrounding counties, primarily by funding professional dance performances and placing dance artists in schools and after-school programs rather than operating its own open-enrollment camp. Its summer camp work has run through a partnership with The Filling Station: a four-day Arts and Dance Day Camp in Jones County for about 25 children ages 8-11, combining movement with hoops, ribbons and props and mosaic steppingstone craft.
