Powered by GoogleWe held our sons 5th birthday party at Astar and it was great! They did two science experiments with the kids (putting an egg in a bottle and making ice cream) and all of the kids loved it. The space had a play room with many climbing items and toys that all of the kids enjoyed while us parents were able to relax and watch the kids play after the science experiments. We brought our food and snacks and the staff helped serve. Overall our party was a great time for kids and parents alike. We have also used Astar as a drop in day care and for their various activities during school breaks and can’t recommend enough. The staff has has been great and the facility is top notch.
This daycare is a joke. After seeing all the rave reviews about hosting birthday parties here, I thought it would be a great place for my child. But the actual daycare experience was terrible. The staff is inattentive, and the place is poorly maintained. My child was left sitting alone most of the time with no engagement or activities. It’s clear that this place is more focused on hosting events like birthday parties than providing proper childcare. They seem to care more about looking good for parties than offering any meaningful care or learning for the kids who are actually enrolled. When I voiced my concerns, I was met with defensiveness and no real solution. I pulled my child out immediately, and of course, they refused to refund any of the fees. If you’re looking for a daycare, keep looking. If you’re looking for a place to host a party, this might work—but that’s about it
I had an absolutely terrible experience with this daycare. From the start, it was clear they were more interested in filling beds than actually providing quality care. The staff barely interacted with the kids, and when they did, it was often in a harsh, impatient manner. I witnessed staff members shouting at the children for minor things, which was both shocking and upsetting. The environment was disorganized, with toys and supplies scattered everywhere, and the whole place had a chaotic vibe. It felt more like a warehouse for kids than a place where they should be nurtured or engaged. The worst part? When I raised these concerns with management, they were completely unresponsive. They didn’t even offer an apology—just excuses and empty promises. When I decided to pull my child out, they refused to refund any of the remaining fees, which only added insult to injury. This daycare was a total waste of time, money, and energy. If you care about your child's well-being, stay far away from this place
I wouldn’t even call this place a childcare center—it’s more like a chaotic holding pen for kids. My experience was beyond terrible. The staff were not just inattentive but downright careless. My child often came home with unexplained scratches and bruises, and when I asked about it, their dismissive attitude made it clear they didn’t care. The manager seems to have no control over the staff, who spend more time gossiping and scrolling on their phones than actually supervising the children. The lack of hygiene is appalling—dirty bathrooms, unwashed toys, and a distinct smell that hits you the moment you walk in. Worst of all, the staff seem to think shouting is an acceptable way to communicate with kids. My child now associates the word “daycare” with fear, which is heartbreaking. The icing on this disaster of an experience? When I tried to address my concerns, I was met with defensive excuses and even outright lies. It’s clear the management is more interested in collecting tuition than creating a safe, nurturing space for children. This place is a complete disgrace, and I wouldn’t leave a goldfish in their care, let alone a child. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere—your child’s safety and happiness depend on it.
We had our son's birthday party here and everyone had a blast! The staff were kind and helpful, the space was bright, clean and spacious, and most of all, the children had fun with the science experiments! They were also very accommodating, allowing me to come in early to set up and even helped me blow up balloons for my decorations. All in all, I would definitely recommend Astar Explorer as an option for birthday parties in the area!
