ArtPlay is the arts education arm of UAB's Alys Stephens Center, running summer camps in visual arts, musical theatre and technical theatre. Musical theatre campers develop a character and rehearse toward a fully staged production at the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center; visual arts campers work with color, texture and technique and close the week with a gallery exhibition at the historic ArtPlay House; technical theatre campers learn lighting, sound and stagecraft and help run the final musical. Camper ages, daily hours and rates are not stated on the pages reviewed.

Powered by GoogleWe loved the Halloween Bash! Very well-organized with lots of engaging activities for kiddos. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed walking around and admiring the old house.
I was here for a promotional event. This is a great place for kids and parents together to spend creative, meaningful and fun moments. We enjoyed the time
We came for ArtPlay's free day since we'd never been and we were super impressed! The facility is huge (and really coo), the staff is friendly and there's a ton of stuff to do. We will definitely be back!
Was only here for a performance but the place is nice. It has a Victorian authentic feel about it with the bathrooms really cute The parking is confusing. I wasn't sure if I had parked at the right spot or if I was going to get towed or a ticket. Overall a good place to rent. Parlor type rooms and bigger rooms to create a more home-like environment.
I am in love with Art Play💙💙💙! This house is beautiful and historical. It is a special place for preforming arts. I have attended recitals and workshops over the past few years. I have enjoyed every one. I hope Art Play will always be apart of Birmingham's cultural life.
