The ocean-themed youth camp has campers examine local sea creatures up close and create artwork in various mediums with guidance from the workshop's artist-teachers. It operates from the former New Smyrna Beach high school building.

★★★★★DeeThis isn't just 5 stars. It's the entire Milky Way! If you like to express your inner artist, this is the place to go. There are many reasonably priced, ongoing classes and workshops, as well as open studio hours and huge art library for members. You DO NOT have to be a good artist. In fact, the members are so supportive, that it's a perfect place to learn for the absolute beginner. It's considered an educational facility, founded over 70 years ago. It sits on a plot of waterfront, state owned land, adjacent the Marine Discovery Center, with outdoor tables to enjoy the ambiance of the pristine acreage. There is even a seasonal youth art program. Something for everyone!
