Atlantic Center for the Arts
Private
Atlantic Center for the Arts, a nonprofit in New Smyrna Beach, runs a summer art camp where campers rotate through three hour-long classes each week with new teachers and themes, exploring different artists and styles through hands-on instruction. Kids' Camp serves grades K-5 and Teen Camp serves grades 6-9, both meeting Tuesday through Friday, 9am to 2pm, with breaks for snacks, games, and lunch. Campers take home artwork each week.

Powered by GoogleBeautiful place! Lots of nature/hiking trails and wildlife. The facilities are well-appointed, with restroom facilities strategically placed for convenience. Plenty of parking, with many shaded spaces. All studios and restrooms are air conditioned.
We visited for a square dance demonstration. The campus consists of several buildings, and parking is scattered in small lots among the trees. I think it helps to know which building you are visiting to find a close parking space. The buildings and grounds are well maintained, and the architecture is interesting. The room we visited has a nice wooden dance floor and good lighting. All in all, a pleasant place to visit.
I have never been to a venue where the staff was so attentive and nice! From the bartenders to the board members. They made the venue feel homey and was very welcoming and nice! If you ever get a chance to catch a show here do so!! Even if you don't know the artist go check it out. Guarantee the show won't disappoint. It's like a smaller version of Julliard for older artist. Can't wait to go back again.
Very pretty place I arrived right at their opening and decided to walk around the natural areas, it's very beautiful and clean. Walking around the complex you'll begin to notice the majority of it is closed off to visitors, they have a nice deck trial but you can only walk along half of it before you're deterred by signs saying artists only. Which makes sense as this was made for the artists. The visitors center was somehow warmer inside than out, and I didn't see a single person inside. It was just a big room with portraits and the places history. It's a very pretty getaway if you're in the nsb area.
This is a tucked away treasure. Real close to the highway and Nsb airport. Their Gallery is big & amazing. They also have a small gift shop. Very welcoming reception. Has a history section about the whole center, the original buildings are still there. They are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year! Would highly recommend to any local or tourist. You won't regret driving over.
