I spent nine months in the Boone area during 2007/08 taking classes at Art Mart Academy. I really appreciated John Bond's keen sense and appreciation of art. He shared his artistic knowledge, offering each student opportunities to explore new directions in one's personal artistic growth. By providing exercises and illustrations of the elements of art, students could focus directly on accomplishing personal goals. I believe John's guidance provided me with a new sense of artistic confidence that encouraged me to continue broadening my exploration of art. As a result, my art has become a way of life. My son took an art class here and produced something pretty good for him. I decided that I would come and take a lesson as well. I used to paint but had gotten out of it. The owner was very good in teaching me a lot of stuff in a short amount of time and introducing me to a new medium and style. I was amazed and am so into painting now that it is all I want to do.
