Apex is a massive ship - with unbelievable detail to the individual gymnast. I don’t know how they do it. My kid is on the JO team, with so many others, yet she is not a number. She’s a little girl with big dreams and the team of coaches have been so supportive of her goals and her person. Impressed by the communication and grateful to be on the gymnastics journey with a great team.

After spending nearly four years at another local gym, my daughter found her home at Apex. Not only did she make an instant best friend after a one-hour visit/tryout for one of the JO teams, but she has received nothing but support from her teammates and coaches (not to mention teammates’ families) as she continues to develop her skills and progress to new levels. Communication from the front office is always on point. As a mom balancing schedules for four busy little girls, I know I can rely on searching “Apex” in my email inbox to catch up on any needed information regarding meets, practices, pictures, and more. Truly can’t speak highly enough of our experience. We couldn’t have made a better decision than joining the Apex family.

I try not to write negative reviews and always give the benefit of the doubt but I just cannot stay quiet. This place is awful. Management, the coaches...they are all so incredibly rude. I don't know how they vet their coaches but they all seem like they are just there for a paycheck. My son's coach has been rude and condescending since day 1. I tried to give her a chance but it only got worse. And don't get me started on management. So rude, so entitled. Everyone we have worked with is unprofessional and I honestly don't know how this place is in business.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Please take the other reviews seriously and avoid this place. We will be taking our business elsewhere. Management and all staff we’ve encountered (with the exception of Coach Pedro) are incredibly rude. My daughter’s most recent class has two coaches who talk to each other the entire time and do not focus on the kids. My daughter has learned more from her gymnastics bar at home than she has here. I am actually shocked by the way that these coaches speak to 4 year olds. During our last class, my daughter ran in to join the others during warm up time since we were 1 minute late. She was a little overwhelmed walking in because we are never late and the coach yelled very loudly in her face while clapping saying “WAKE UP”. It was totally inappropriate and embarrassing for my daughter. I decided at that very moment that we would not be coming back.

We attended this gym for six years, starting when my daughter was 4 and leaving now at age 10. We stayed because she loved gymnastics, but over time it became clear that the environment and particularly the ownership was not supportive or child-centered. Classes were often overcrowded, with kids spending a lot of time waiting for turns and showing limited skill progression. More concerning was the lack of kindness and flexibility from the owner. On one occasion, my daughter was excluded from picture day because I missed an email about a required leotard, resulting in unnecessary tears rather than a simple solution or communication. In another instance, when I missed emails about a competition and asked for guidance, the response was screenshots of emails no support or empathy. I fully acknowledge missing the emails and did not ask or demand anything special but when working with children, there should be a baseline of care, inclusion, and understanding. Unfortunately, that has been lacking. We’ve chosen to take our business elsewhere to a program that prioritizes kindness, growth, and the emotional well-being of kids, not just rigid rules and transactions. Remember there are choices and other gyms this doesn’t have to be acceptable behavior.
