I’m leaving this review after years of experience with Frederick Gymnastics Club. My daughters attended before COVID, and at that time things seemed pretty good. However, after COVID I became increasingly uncomfortable with the cleanliness of the facility, so we stopped attending. A few years later, one of my daughter's wanted to return. The building often has a very strong odor of feet, and it never seemed like the space was being cleaned thoroughly due to that factor alone. We also consistently had issues with make-up classes. Sometimes they were offered and others not. It was always difficult to schedule them, and communication was frustrating. I tried to schedule my daughters last 3 makeups during her final month (as the app was not showing me all options) but no one answered when I called. When someone finally did, they told me to come in and speak with them during her class, yet NO ONE WAS AT THE DESK TO HELP. Now that her final month is over, of course someone answers the phone and this lady says it's too late to make them up, unless I re-register her and PAY for another month. Yes, pay for a month to get 3 classes that I already paid for. One was actually for a snow day that they closed. Extremely disappointing. Customer service 0/10. Overall, it felt like the focus was more on collecting money than on the actual progress and development of the kids. We ended up transferring my daughter out (Dominique Dawes), and thankfully she is now being coached by her former coach who previously worked there. It was a pleasant surprise for her to see a familiar face. The location is clean, smells good, parking is great and there is an attendee at the front desk to answer all questions (scheduling and more) for the duration of the classes. They also offer weekend sessions! She is having an amazing experience now! We can even keep up with her progress through their amazing app! Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place. On top of everything else, parking at the facility is also very difficult.

My son has done it 2 years in a row and has loved it so much. They are so patient and kind and caring when it comes to working with toddlers.

I enrolled my daughter in a tumbling class on Saturday morning. My daughter does competitive acro. I wanted her to get additional practice closer to our house. This class was a total joke. There is no guidance or class structure. It’s totally unorganized it was like my daughter was at the jumping zone doing her own thing. My son had the same instructor to the tumbling class 2 summers ago. I was so disappointed to see he was teacher her tumbling class. Stop taking parents money and get qualified teacher with structure class that the student can actually learn. I enrolled her at flip which is much better.

I'm deeply disappointed and frustrated with FGC. My child was abruptly dropped from the class, and the lack of genuine concern from the staff is appalling. Their demeanor can only be described as "uppity" and dismissive. It's evident they don't truly care about the children in their care. Their customer service is severely lacking, making interactions unnecessarily challenging. What's even more infuriating is that my daughter was removed simply because I had to replace a stolen credit card. Instead of a courtesy call to clarify or rectify the situation, I was sent an email and that's it. Their justification? "They're busy." What a pathetic excuse! Families entrust their kids to institutions like these, expecting professionalism and compassion. It's clear this establishment lacks both.

They have the best coaches! My 3 yr old has severe anxiety with strangers, but a little patience goes a long way! She usually goes to the amazing Ms. Olga's Tuesday morning class, but even when we had a makeup class with Mr. Kurt on Thursday morning she felt comfortable enough to jump right in and follow him and her classmates around the gym. I highly recommend this gym to any parent- especially who has the availability to bring their child during the week when the gym is basically empty!
