Angelfish Swimming is a small home-based swim school at 10203 116th Ave NE in Kirkland, teaching children from about 6 months to 6 years in a 90-degree backyard pool built by Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in 2007. Classes run Monday through Thursday year-round with a maximum of four swimmers per 30-minute lesson, progressing through five levels with a focus on water safety, confidence, foundational skills and stroke development. Parent-and-tot classes start at 6 months, and enrollment begins with a 10-week commitment. Demand outstrips capacity and the waitlist can run from weeks to years; the school offers lessons rather than a summer camp.
