Powered by GoogleThe lady at the front desk was so incredibly rude. We are residents of Andover and had a neighbor kid with that was also a resident. This woman was just appalled that we would even try and go here with a someone who was let our child. She could’ve handled the situation nicely but instead had a super snarky attitude and basically yelled at us about it saying we don’t understand the rules. Had consider getting the membership but after that interaction absolutely not.
Extremely rude swimming staff and pool etiquette. This lady kicked kids out of a swimming lane that has been given approval to swim in the deep pool to play, so she could have it instead, despite having plenty of other areas to swim. Other half of the pool was wide open for her. She just needed to beat down on little kids to prove she was tighter I guess. Very disgusting human being. Staff did nothing to remove her lousy excuse from the pool.
I am quite frustrated with the front counter staff. My husband lost his cell phone at the Y 3 days ago. I called near closing time when we discovered it was missing; staff stated nothing had been turned in. Husband went to the Y on Tuesday morning to work out; he asked if they would check lost and found for a black iphone; he was told nothing was turned in. We went yesterday to workout and swim; asked again if they would please check lost and found, the man at the front desk barely looked up from his computer screen, stayed sitting on his chair and stated that he had just looked and no phone was in lost and found. We have felt dismissed and irritated that our over $100 a month membership fees don't even afford us the courtesy of addressing a concern. We're looking in to other health club options.
We opened our membership for our family of 4 after visiting here. The membership is SO WORTH THE PRICE! Our 3yo takes swim lessons here (fantastic instructors). He and our 9mo are safe in the kid's zone (included with membership) while I take the FREE workout classes and take a longer shower because... well if you're a parent you understand the relaxation of a non-rushed shower. The facilities are clean, the pool is GREAT for the little kids, temp is warm and inviting. The workout equipment is always clean and never seen a malfunction/used machine in our time here. Thanks YMCA, you really help our family stay active.
Every time I log in the wifi does not connect, and if it does it is weak. The people are great though and the atmosphere is friendly. I really like Graham the front desk worker he is friendly, patient, and welcoming. The gym upstairs is also amazing! I really like the stretching area! Make sure to clean off your equipment when your done! Thanks YMCA!
