Adventures Cross-Country (ARCC) is a teen adventure- and service-travel program based in Mill Valley for ages 13-18, operating since 1983. Small guided groups travel across the western U.S. and 20+ countries for backpacking, sailing, SCUBA, surfing, kayaking, rock climbing, cultural immersion, language study, and community-service projects. Programs are multi-week traveling trips rather than a fixed-site camp; gap-semester options are also offered.

Luckily it wanted nothing to do with me! Lol I saw so many different types of wildlife across two rainforest, sea kayaked island to island on the pacific and rafted two of the most incredible rivers Central America has to offer. The organization of adventures cross country and the reputable tour company they use in Costa Rica was so smooth and rich in experience I’ve wanted to do it all over again as an adult.
