4-H Camp Overlook
Private
4-H Camp Overlook is a traditional nonprofit overnight (residential) summer camp for youth ages 8-19 on a channel between two lakes near Owls Head in the northern Adirondacks, operated by Cornell Cooperative Extension (Franklin and St. Lawrence counties). Older campers attend six-day, five-night sessions and newcomers can try a three-day, two-night stay, with swimming, sailing, canoeing, a high/low ropes course, wilderness survival, and archery in a deliberately screen-free setting. 4-H membership is not required.

We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact 4-H Camp Overlook directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Field trip with 5th graders. I actually learned a lot about edible wild plants, composting, chickens, fish, bees and dragon flies. Enjoyed the day with my daughter and grandson!💓
