Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center, on 24 acres of Lake Tahoe shoreline in Zephyr Cove, runs an eight-week summer day camp (about 8:00am-4:00pm) primarily for local families, plus Summer Basecamp, a week-long overnight program for middle- and high-school students centered on faith, education and outdoor exploration. The Christian center dates to 1924 and also hosts retreats and conferences.

★★★★Ashley HamrickAugust 2025 - Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs. My group of about 20 stayed in the Lakeview Lodge for 3 nights. Great views, but it was like going back to a 1980s accommodation: thin walls, small rooms, tiny hallways, and lots and lots of stairs. Old building. Dormitory style sleeping - difficult in this space. The Zephyr Point campus is beautiful and has breathtaking views. There is a one-way road that loops around the outside of the campus. All the parking is located at the top near the highway. Beware that this large campus is situated on the side of a steep hill and lots of walking is required if your group plans to walk around, eat at the Cafeteria (but not stay in the same building), or make trips to the parking area at the top of the campus. There is a giant staircase called Robin's Flight that goes all the way from the bottom all the way to the top of the campus, but the stairs are uneven -- you have to pay attention to your steps. There is a beautiful outdoor amphitheater that faces the lake. At night, there is a gas fire pit just across from it you can light with a simple switch and gather around to keep warm. The little coffee shop, Cabin 28, is cute and offers all kinds of Zephyr Point souvenirs: mugs, tees, sweatshirts, postcards, even history books that go into the long history of this campus. The cafeteria offers a salad bar most lunch and dinners, and offers coffee, hot water, and juice. The food isn't great. No drinking or late night partying are allowed. Dobbins Hall, the large event center, had two large church groups playing loud music when we were there -- keep this in mind as it can be very disruptive to Lakeview Lodge guests. The dock provides ample space for evening contemplation, conversation, strolling, and gorgeous sunset views. Bring a jacket in the summer -- LT's mountain weather can go from warm and sunny to hailing and cold within an hour. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend for your group event, if you can get in. They normally book a year or more out.
