I was visiting from NC and took advantage of this y. Everyone from staff to members were so nice and helpful. I loved the early pool hours and the location right next to the park.

Water aerobics classes can be hit or miss. Some are excellent - Vicky’s classes are always great - wonderful directions (she uses a microphone) and uses music. Dawn’s classes are horrible - no microphone or music and chats with participants while teaching. I hope in the future water aerobics teachers become more consistent using good teaching standards throughout the weekly offerings. The womens locker rooms need to be thoroughly cleaned. Very dirty.

Honestly, I was treated very rudely by Jessie at the front desk today and she said I should know what’s going on and give me this really rude. Look on her face as far as when my bank will pay for the membership. You just never know what’s going on with somebody else and how I had to help my grandma pay her cancer bills for pancreatic cancer since she got diagnosed this month. I asked Jesse about how I should pay the fee I owe and she could’ve just said I’ll handle it here for you right now, but she had to rudely say that it’s an automatic draft and gave me this really roundabout confusing answer when I was ready to just pay for it in person And then eventually she said I could pay for it in person which was the question I asked in the first place! She honestly needs some customer service training!

I learned how to swim in the main pool... 50 years ago! I guess they got rid of the high diving board for liability reasons, but that used to be the best part of the pool. This was also the main place in town for kids to hang out in the 70's (they had a cool game room in the old front building with pinball and pool tables, open gym and pool, and summer sports leagues).

Do not trust this YMCA, they lie straight to your face, I cancelled my membership and signed up for the YMCA of the North. When I cancel I was told there was no refund for the month, but I wouldn't be charged for the next month. I was charged for the membership anyways and when I called the Redwing y, the person they put me in touch with started laughing, as he said "well we got you for two memberships and they wouldn't refund the money they lied and stole to get. I had to report it as a double billing. This is a very unscrupulous YMCA and is a tarnish to the name
