Powered by GoogleStaff showed low energy. Counselors spent more time talking to each other than engaging with kids. Supervision felt inconsistent. I saw groups wandering without clear direction.Activities lacked structure. The schedule changed without notice. Some kids sat around for long stretches with nothing to do. Equipment looked worn and limited.Safety raised concerns. Check-in and check-out felt rushed. I did not see clear tracking of who was present at all times. That matters at a camp.Communication was weak. Updates came late or not at all. Questions took too long to get answers. You should not have to chase basic information.Food options were basic and repetitive. Some kids skipped meals because they did not like what was offered. For the cost, you expect better organization, stronger supervision, and clear communication. This camp needs better training, tighter planning, and more accountability.
Hey Camp Spring Lake! Starlight here!! It is my first year here and, I just want to say ever since I joined Camp Spring Lake, I have had so much fun being an LIT! I love all the counselors here such as Dipper and Star. I love to play Nuke-’em with everyone. I like the overnights as well. I love to swim here too. There’s a lot of fun things to do , but sometimes you will get hot. Thank goodness for Brain Break Zone!!!! Edit: Aug 9,2025 This year I had my third summer and my first year is junior counselor at CSL. It was pretty great. I met new friends and new campers! I also met a new counselor here at CSL, McFly! McFly was amazing this year, and I hope he comes next summer as well!! I forgot to write a review of my second Summer but looking back it was pretty good! This year I only went three weeks. Next year, I will go more.
Great place for a retreat. Boy Scouts enjoy the space. We can hike and cook and shower all in the same place.
A nice camping area near the Mississippi River that includes lots of parking space, a lodge, sand volley ball court, outdoor classroom, outdoor theater, and 10 group camp sites. There's also a nice hiking trail that loops around it. There are 4 pit toilets and a water spigot during April through October. Also close to an archery range (permit required) and miles of trails.
