YMCA Camp Pepin, operated by the Red Wing Family YMCA on the shores of Lake Pepin in Stockholm, has served youth for over 85 years. It offers day camp for ages 4–12, overnight resident camp for grades 3–10, and teen and leadership programs through grade 12, with lakefront and outdoor activities.

★★★★★Sara CJust picked up our young kids from their first ever Day Camp at YMCA Camp Pepin in Stockholm, Wisconsin and they are already wanting to go back! Easy to Find — YMCA Camp Pepin is located on the shores of Lake Pepin / Mississippi River Pool 4 —just minutes off of HWY 35 / Great River Road on Deer Island. The camp is safely tucked away in sprawling property on a dead end road. Camp Counselors — They are a hard-working, well-trained group of young adults! Each day they welcomed us at the camp entrance, quickly building rapport with our kids (and providing reassurance to us parents). Each counselor had their own unique camp name (ie. Bear, Radio, River, Skittles, Coral and so many more) that brought extra fun to the post-day camp stories. Camp Store - A concession type store that has souvenir goods — t-shirts, sweatshirts, beach towels and numerous stuffies. Items are reasonably priced ($13 for a stuffy, $18 for a beach towels). Open hours are limited, so be sure to talk with counselors if doing a Day Camp. For payment—the camp store accepts the money that parents pre-load on the child’s Camp Account and/or cash. Day Camp Tips - -Be sure to label all belongings. Touch base with counselors if missing items. They did a great job finding my daughter’s lost shoes, water bottle cover, etc. -Pack a lunch for each day of camp. Also—bring a snack and something to drink for the drive home. -Life Jackets —Per our kids they have life jackets on-site. No need to pack one. -FYI You do not need to be a member of the YMCA for your child to go to YMCA Camp Pepin camps. Overall, this has been the highlight of our kids summer! We enjoyed some canoeing, birdwatching, exploring the backwoods, and delicious home-cooked meals. I'll definitely be recommending Pepin to anyone looking for a WFR or a camp for their kid!

Take a beautiful walk in the woods or have fun on the adventure course. You can roast marshmallows while watch the beautiful sunset.
