YMCA Camp Classen is a traditional overnight summer camp on 2,200 acres in the Arbuckle Mountains of southern Oklahoma, where campers hike, canoe, ride horses, and shoot archery. Co-ed weeklong sessions serve ages 7-16, with a two-week Camp Leadership Program for teens 15-16, and a summer day camp option is also offered. Run by the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City and ACA-accredited.

We went on a hike with a couple of the other groups and also had time to ourselves. Our activities included archery, ax throwing and kayaking. We especially enjoyed having our own little fire pit! The cabin had AC and its own bathroom. The large shower house was super convenient. Good water temp and pressure was a bonus for us non-kids campers! I would highly recommend Camp Classen if you’re looking for a unique way to spend some QT with family or friends.

★★★★★Fred ReichertSo my son's 5th grade class spent a week at Camp Classen as part of their school-sponsored event as part of their curriculum. They had worksheets to complete each day, that went hand in hand with their camp experience. They learned the history of the camp, the different biomes around the property, the types of soil/rock, types of wildlife, types of trees and plants, and even the conservation efforts at camp. This experience was priceless and one I know the kids will remember forever. Thank you to all the volunteer parents, teachers, and camp staff for making this possible!!! As for the accommodations...the cabins have bunk beds with a mattress, bathrooms inside the cabins, there is a main shower house (probably less than 5 yrs old) with separate quarters for boys/girls as well as adults. A main dining hall, nature center, and Activities Center. There are many activities no matter the weather rain or shine, hot or cold. So choose your week and book your time, you will be so glad you did!

The staff are excellent, the cabins are nice (as far as camp cabins go), the trails are beautiful, and there was soooooooo much to do. We left at the end of the week exhausted from all the fun. I'll be volunteering to go back as often as needed.
