I went to Yes! And... camp for 13 years and being here taught me how to love everything that makes me unique, how to express myself through the arts, and how far my imagination could take me, as well as giving me some of my best childhood memories. As a staff member of the camp now, I hope I am able to give the campers the same experience I had.

This place is amazing! The other kids who attend are all mutually supportive of each other. I have never seen a group of young people more mutually affirming and encouraging. Not to mention talented! My great-granddaughter said it was one of the best experiences of her life to be a part of it.

In desperate need of a revamp, one that promotes diversity and inclusion. I am the parent of two Black Children and I had an interest in enrolling them in this Camp but the lack of Black staff is what drew me back, in large part due to the fact that the camp is situated in a predominantly black area. Representation is important and cultural quirks that are displayed around people who don’t look like you can often be met with dismissive and disciplinary consequences. Theater is an important realm for black kids to be a part of so they can develop a sense of self and learn to love their idiosyncrasies, which isn’t promoted enough in our community. Perhaps if the camp made more of a commitment to hire a diverse staff, the aforementioned would be feasible.

My kids did summer camp in 2021 (for the younger age) and had an incredible time. The staff so so professional and their program was top notch. On the last day they asked me to sign them up for next year already!
