Powered by GoogleThe state 4H camp is something my daughter looks forward to every year. Some of the kids get a little emotional when camp ends due to the bonding & shared experiences. The living quarters have bunk beds with maybe 15-20 girls per cabin. Boys also on the other side of the camp. I believe two camp counselors for each cabin. So refreshing to see kids buzzing with excitement and wholesome smiles while taking luggage to the cabin. Of course 4H is just one component of the WVU Jackson's Mill site.
Great facility for learning, clean everywhere, and well informed guides.
The bull ride was fun to watch
Never a bad time at the Mill. I've been going for years, and the staff are always amazing! The location is so serene. Like a little slice of heaven. I love the trails, and the views you get everywhere on the campus.
Took a tour of the historic area and buildings. Amazing tour and historical restorations. Addition buildings put in place by the famous Barn Work Builders are on site and are a great fit having used old and reclaimed wood and wood from the Jackson's Mill campus. Additional buildings on the site are also well maintained and excellent learning spaces for the group of children who were there for an Invitational. Worth the stop just for the historical area.
