Powered by GoogleNot much to do, everything closes between 5 and 7. Honestly not worth the money….Edit if you’re not a certain demographic (I’m not) you get looked at weird and treated less than… my fave part was going to the spa and getting a half ass hi and the next ppl in who match that demographic gets a whole tour with smiles and all… super cute rooms though
I love this place! 😍 The food so far is delicious and comforting. The staff are amazing, attentive and seem to anticipated my needs. I am interested in knowing about the Wintergreen real estate, so I'll reach out to them regarding that soon. My room was spacious. It had a sliding glass door. I didn't try to open up because I'm afraid to break things 😄 but if it does open! How amazing would that have been to enjoy a breeze while relaxing 😎. If you're thinking about it go ahead and do it!
If you are planning to come to Wintergreen on a holiday weekend, think again. The lifts were extremely overcrowded and it took 40 minutes to get on a lift. It was not worth the money. Thank goodness we got our rental equipment the evening before because the lines to rent equipment was insane. The staff at the rental facility was great- they worked hard to move quickly but rentals aren’t quick. It was my nieces first time boarding and the staff was stressed and yelling at her to go faster and move- it made it very unfun for her. She did private lessons (which we loved!) but a lift is a different learning experience. The check in staff is incredible. Our condo was beautiful. It’s worth returning to WG but trying a different, less crowded weekend.
I've been skiing here for 30+ years. I love it. Great people, great memories. Recently went back for a weekend with family and it was lovely. But here's the thing - getting lunch during a ski day on the mountain is still a nightmare. You'd think they'd have figured that out before they added tubing and high speed lifts, but what do I know.
So now that I've had 4 trips and used up our passes to wintergreen I've had a chance for a fair review.. to start the bathrooms smell like 40 year old piss absolutely disgusting. The staff at the lifts mainly the Chuckerberry lift are a terrible. They just stand around bro chatting and not keeping things orderly. When kids and inexperienced rider come up it's a lot going on and they need instruction. You won't get it here! They just feed you to the lift wolf and let you figure it out or screw up, then chastise you if you screw up. They were extremely rude to my 14yr old. The parking is a joke, better arrive early or you're not getting a spot, and there is 0 instructions/attendant so when it fills up your just left roaming looking. The slopes for what I know were pretty good, according to people I talked to who have more experience they are not very beginner friendly. Small area for learners. The ski instructors were knowledgeable and did help my kid a lot. He had a great time with his instructors. Other then the ageing utilities/amenities and the lack of good lift help this resort was just OK. We'll see if we come back after trying 2 others before we make a final decision.
