Willow Bank Yacht Club, a member-owned club founded in 1948 on Cazenovia Lake, runs junior sailing instruction through the summer. Children ages 4-8 start in the Sailfish program, while ages 8-18 take beginner, advanced-beginner or intermediate youth sailing and can move on to the Junior Fleet racing team, where they learn racing rules, starts, mark roundings, boat handling and tactics. Both half-day and full-day lessons are offered. Learn to Sail and Youth Sailing are open to the public; Junior Fleet is limited to club members, and scholarships are available through the Al Marshall Memorial Fund.

★David HewittPaid for child's sailing lesson. Was told I can paddle my canoe, was later approached by a man named Luke who told me I was not welcome to use the launch after I loaded the boat on my car to leave. It appears the staff was not informed because they said I could. Terrible management, great kids on staff other than that Luke guy who hamulated me in front of my son. Kid had fun sailing though. Just know that if you get a lesson you're not welcome to hang out or use the facility at all. even if no-one is around.
