Williamsburg School of Music runs weeklong summer rock day camps for children ages 4-13 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, every week in July and August. Days (roughly 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., drop-off from 8:30, extended pickup to 6 p.m.) center on band rehearsals plus recording sessions, video shoots, crafts and outdoor/playground time. Each Friday ends with a public outdoor concert and pizza party.

We love that he is taking lessons from a trained musician who also happens to be a “natural” with children. Our son just completed a full week of Rock Band Summer Camp and had the time of his life. In addition to the music, the social aspect was wonderful. Each evening, when I came to pick him up (we did the extended day option) I found him playing chess with a new friend. Craig and his team were super communicative and accommodating with our crazy schedule. We can’t say enough wonderful things about this experience! Also, my 4yo just asked me when she can go the “music party camp” by herself, and my 2yo is requesting a drum set after watching her brother play. ❤️

She as well as the rest of the staff have been attentive and awesome. Can't recommend this school enough. Also, I LOVE to attend their yearly volunteer-gigs as the live band for the NYC Marathon, where they let the kids/students play or sing along with the band. Such a treat and we're super grateful for that too. We're consistently impressed by the kindness and talent of this staff!
