A sailing club on the Willamette River in Portland's South Waterfront that runs week-long summer sailing camps for ages 5-18. Beginner and intermediate youth (roughly ages 8-11) learn small-boat sailing, boat handling, and water safety in eight-foot Optimist dinghies, taught by US Sailing-certified instructors. A 50-foot swim check in a lifejacket is required before getting on the water.

Fantastic culture, accessibility to get on the water, and kind sailors. I'm taking the intermediate sailing class for adults and really appreciative to be able to get out on the water with this club!
My 10 year loved sailing lessons and wanted to sail again as soon as possible. Great instructors with positive attitude.
Cute boats. I enjoy sharing the river with them. Very responsible sailors from what I can tell.
Willamette Sailing Club is a great place to go to get lessons for kids who want to learn to sail. My kids have a great time, spend lots of time in the water and safety is a priority. They have lessons for younger.kids and teen lessons too. AM and PM classes available. My kids have already started to gain skill and confidence from their lessons. I highly recommend WSC.
