The Wilkes-Barre Township Settlement Camp (formerly Georgetown Settlement Camp) is a municipal camp in Thornhurst, Pennsylvania, run by Wilkes-Barre Township. It holds weekly day and overnight camp sessions for boys and girls ages 6-14 during June and July, with outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and boating at a rustic site, and it is also available for public rental. This is a beautiful hidden gem that is taken care of meticulously. Kudos to Wilkes-Barre Twp.
Its the greatest place to be, been going for around 20 years or so and I will gladly say that it's my favorite place to stay for a few days every single year.
A great place to reconnect with nature if you're thinking of sending your kids here for Camp I would highly suggest it we go there every year with the family. We use the boats and swam off of the dock it was awesome
It's a nice enough place but the road is horrible. Just horrible.
