My parents sent me here in the late 80s and early 90s for summer camp. I was your typical inner city kid. You know how kids cry because they don’t want to go? Well I was the kid that cried because I didn’t want to go home. Great memories. Thank you and thanks mom.

I want to here when I was 6 years old. There was only one mean female counselor, the rest were really nice. I never got bullied, I wouldn't allow it. I still don't allow it. Anyway, it was the very first time I had ever seen a meadow and the waving grassn scared me so much that I refuse to walk on it. It took the nurse two days to finally get me to put my feet in that grass. I thought I died and went to Heaven. You could not keep me off that meadow. There was a contest on picking Japanese beetles off the roses, there was so many roses and so many beetles. These Japanese Beetles had really pretty colors, they were iridescent for the most part. They were known as Scarabs in the Egypt.

I went to this camp in the mid 80s. Counselors were militant and mean as hell. They made three girls shower together at a time and would give us only 5 minutes to do so. We had to take a long walk to the general store and if you lagged behind the counselors threw rocks at your feet. Teaching you how to swim was pushing you into the lake. Smh My cousin and I went to this camp at the same time and asked if we could be in the same cabin which they quickly denied us to do. Please don't send your children there. It was a nightmare!
