I love Bear Creek Camp so much, both as a former camper in the early years and now, as a parent to three BCC campers. My family and I also attend Family Camp each Labor Day. The staff are absolutely amazing with the way they interact with the kids and how professional they are. It's one of those intangibles that BCC staff possess, a sense of welcoming and joy that comes from within. They are patient, kind, and lead by their own examples, showing campers not just what to do, but how to fully enjoy what their doing. The spirit is very much alive in those 3,000 acres and I feel so close to my creator whenever I walk on one of the hikes, stand down by the lake (or go out boating on it). There's a sense of peace at Bear Creek Camp that is impossible to miss and impossible to forget, once you've experienced it. They have all the traditional summer camp activities and one of the best ropes courses you'll find anywhere, but for me, it all comes down to the feels. I notice at Family Camp, which is basically a gathering of the BCC community from over the years, we all share our experiences and memories that seem to mesh together, despite being our being separated by generations. In short, there's no place like Bear Creek Camp and I highly recommend it summer camp, family camp, or retreats.

I researched many camps looking for one that would be a solid place for my daughters spirit to be supported as mine was at a different camp. Everything I hoped would be true about this camp has come to pass. My daughter went first as a 8 yr old and now is heading there as a 12 year old. We have started orchestrating two weeks at a time from CT which is no small task because going to Bear Creek is the most important part of her summer to her. She feels loved and supported in the small environment, she loves all the singing and the dance, and all the time in nature. She has come home with her spirit filled with the love of God, as experienced through discussion, prayer, and staring up at the sun through the trees in a hammock writing her one poetry in her mind. I would highly recommend this camp for anyone who wants their child to experience the love of God through community. I’m so grateful we chose Bear Creek!

This camp is like another home for me. Every year I go, it is the best part of my whole year. Everyone there is like family and everyone treats you like family. I love going there every year.

It was fine my kid had so much fun it was about God and you guys would go to the chapel and do some God songs or some role-plays and you guys would go to the lake. There’s a little activities in the woods and there’s like climbing spinning going up in the air zip lining my child did those things and she came back home saying oh my God this was like the best day ever the beds were good. Made new friends got their phone number the counselors they are really nice. We have to pray before you eat and there’s a nurse just in case you guys need to get your medicine and you get to play games. And my daughter actually went there for a field trip, but she didn’t go like fully in it cause it was like summer camp so we didn’t sign up though we just went for a field trip but she was at school so we can’t just do a summer day the one thing I didn’t like was that most of the teachers were making them like go outside, but you know it was outside not like everywhere and we’re not allowed electronics. The only thing you could really bring is a camera to take pictures. Underwater camera is my best a book a journal to write like stuff and phone numbers if you want to get friends with them we brought a whole bag we’re going this summer again. It’s so much fun. I love Bear Creek camp her counselors were Henry Katie and Stacy, they’re very nice

My daughter really enjoyed her time at camp! I personally do not like not being able to talk to my daughter but she had a great time, they do so much for the children and really know how to run a summer camp!!!! She will returning next year:)
