Wild Roots Studio is a nature-based art studio at 444 N. Sunset Street in Fort Collins, with indoor and outdoor classrooms in a backyard surrounded by vegetable and herb gardens that campers harvest from for projects, plus walks to nearby creeks, parks and open spaces. Summer camps are five-day, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. sessions at about $338: Art Through the Elements for ages 5-12 explores earth, air, fire and water through clay, watercolor and botanical dyes, while Earth Wise Camp for ages 9-14 covers herbology, primitive skills, gardening, sustainability and plant medicine. The studio also runs after-school programs and school-break day camps.

My girls recently did the "Voicing Change Through Art" camp and had the best experience. There's even a creek swing that they got to walk to during the lunch break. We will definitely be back for more camps and classes!
