Campers build nature-connection and wilderness survival skills - archery, atlatl (spear-thrower) throwing, fire-making and shelter-building - alongside local plant and animal knowledge, ancestral crafts, arts and traditional storytelling. It also offers homeschool enrichment and school-break camps.

A lot of camps can be stressful for him if they are too packed with structured activities, this camp was relaxed, but still exuding with a good mix of activities from plant dyes to fire making to running around games to archery. It was a sweet community and the director went out of his way to make communication work for us.

This camp is very special because of Teacher Michael (watch the videos on his website). Out in the park, learning about animals, finding snakes and scorpions, lots of archery. Small group of mixed ages. Camp starts later, ends earlier than some, but it was worth it for me to figure out the logistics.
