The staff and instructors at the West Chatham YMCA are friendly and helpful. They have a variety of group exercise classes to attend. The equipment is well kept. Shannon at the front desk is especially helpful.

Decent facilities. 2 stars because they close the pool 1-3pm every weekday. Paying 80 a month and not being able to use the facilities during peak times is unacceptable .

I’ve been really enjoying my time doing personal training with Jared Bradshaw. He’s made it very easy for a beginner to get comfortable in the gym. We’ve been working with my pain management and I’ve definitely noticed a difference. The Y itself is very nice and the people at the front have been so helpful. The classes are also a really fun way to get your workout in.

I’ve been taking personal training sessions with Jared Bradshaw. Jared is a great personal trainer who shows you the correct form/technique when completing each exercise to prevent injury and target the correct muscle. He is also great with introducing progressive overload each week. I’ve increased the amount of weight that I’m able to do when bench pressing and doing RDL’s. I recommend personal training with Jared especially for knowledge on how to perform exercises correctly.

Overall this is a very nice YMCA and gym. Cant say enough about the facility, equipment. And community involvement. That is why I hate to write this part of the review. Something has to be done about the men’s locker room, saunas and shower area. It is quite disgusting and rarely gets cleaned. Standing water and the same trash in the dry sauna is there for days. Same piece of gum has been in the black mats in the shower stall for weeks. This means the mats are not removed and cleaned. In public areas I see staff cleaning and members wiping down equipment after each use. But the men locker room is awful!
