We Rock Charlotte is a Charlotte nonprofit, formerly Girls Rock Charlotte, that runs a week-long full-day summer music camp for girls, gender-diverse youth and allies ages 8-17. Campers learn an instrument, form a band, write an original song with peers, take workshops in social justice and leadership, and perform at an end-of-week concert for family and friends. The organization also offers film education, clubs and after-school music labs.
