Avoid this club at all costs. I agree with everything that Michael Lewendowski put in his review. This club is very disorganized and unprofessional. We spent two seasons with them. The first was okay. We were recruited by Waza while playing with i9. At the time they seemed to really know a lot about soccer and seemed professional. However they have high expectations for little kids and they often yell and scream at them. One day my son was having a really hard time at practice and started crying. I pulled him aside to try to calm him and Mario the owner came over and threatened him! He told him he was going to ban him from the club-a five year old!!! He wasn’t even in kindergarten yet!! And he had never had a meltdown at practice before so it wasn’t like this was a regular thing for him. At this club you are expected to pay for additional training aka their “skills clinics” These are skills they should be learning during regular practice time. I don’t know any other clubs that do this it’s just a way to get more money out of parents. Coaches are late to games and games are also disorganized and often canceled at the last minute. We were on the way to game in white lake-an hour and a half from us when the game was canceled 10 minutes before it was supposed to start! The reason was because the club overbooked the field and there were to many other clubs there. This was often a regular thing. There is also a lot of favoritism and the kids that are the favorites will get the most play time and attention instead of coaches focusing on developing the skills of all players. Coaches and staff don’t seem to have basic training in cpr and first aide skills. Anyone working with kids especially a coach should be properly and regularly trained in cpr and first aide. My son got seriously injured during a game and the facility the game was in didn’t have a first aid kit. You would think a coach would have an appropriate first aide kit on hand but no. There was no concern from the coach in regards to my son’s injury. Communication is nonexistent especially if you are trying to get a hold of Colleen the manager. Except for at 5am when she starts loading information into the club app and your phone starts buzzing nonstop with the club notifications. It doesn’t matter if you send an email, text, call etc and good luck talking to her in person. As a parent I value my time and money and my child’s well being. This is not a club I want my kid involved in. Do yourself a favor and really research the soccer clubs in the area. Almost any other one is better then Waza.

Extremely Disappointed – Completely Unprofessional Experience with Waza and Colleen Debolski. If I could give zero stars, I would. I registered my daughter for tryouts with this club months in advance, planning around their schedule and preparing her for the opportunity. Despite reaching out multiple times—through emails, phone calls, voicemails, and text messages—I never received a single response from the club director, Colleen Debolski. I had basic questions that went unanswered for weeks. Then, to make matters worse, I finally receive a text message on the day of tryouts letting me know that there are no tryouts for her age group. That’s right—the very day of! Even attempted to call Colleen at that point again since she just text me and she would not take my calls. At that point, every other club in the area had already closed registration, and we were completely out of options because this club couldn’t be bothered to communicate in a timely or professional manner. This kind of disorganization and disregard for families’ time and commitment is unacceptable. We were counting on this opportunity, and it’s incredibly frustrating and disheartening to be left in the dark and strung along like this. If you're considering this club—don’t. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and clearly do not respect the families they claim to serve.

Best developmental training. Coaches are knowledgeable, passionate, and invested in the kids. They push the kids to be focused and disciplined at all times. They train the kids to be their best. My son has done fall, winter, spring, and summer training sessions for the past two years. He’s done training with other clubs in the area and nothing comes close to Waza. Other clubs’ training sessions were more expensive and shorter, and multiple times one particular club ended almost 10 minutes early. Waza coaches teach the kids until the very last second of the full hour. I like Waza because they actually learn something, it’s not just about “having fun”. It’s definitely still fun for the kids but productive and valuable training.

Waza is such a great organization. All of the coaches really care about the kids. They are all about teaching the kids to play soccer and making it fun while doing it! My daughter just started playing and already seeing such great improvements in her techniques. Keep up the awesome work Waza!!
